The passing clouds, the flowing river
To the eyes they appear so clear;
The sun rises and sets,
Though not true, the belief is preset;
Again, the eyes here sees, not to forget...
Life presents itself in mysterious ways
To see and to believe are rather miles away
Misleads and misjudgements being very common,
Perhaps these are the only means,
Through which our mind clearly "sees",
I reckon.
Life is the best teacher,
Experiences are the best learnings,
With time comes the patience,
To accept these facts, we are often reluctant..
All that glitters is not Gold
For someday or the other the truth unfolds....
PS: Couldn't really come up with an apt title for this post...
PS: Title suggested by a friend :)
There is another category of ambigrams called "Symbiotograms". They are similar to ambigrams, however when read upside down, they form different words from the original. You must have seen doormats that reads "WELCOME" on entering and the same mat reads "THANKYOU" on exit. This is an example of Symbiotogram. Today i tried writing a symbiotogram and i succeeded. And this time, i have my name and my best friend's name in it :) :) :)
Here goes my 1st symbiotogram with my name inclusive ;)
I stood perplexed at the scene. The carcass of the sea monster lay in front me with green fluid oozing out of its body everytime the gigantic waves hit the tail of the monster. I still couldn't believe if i had really done it... The excitement of winning an armageddon was a tantalising experience. The jinx against the giant had worked perfectly well to my advantage bringing in the long awaited peace and harmony. Had it not been for my 6th, 7th and 8th sense most importantly my common sense, the world, a few thousand kms below the earth's surface would cease to exist...
On a lazy sunday, i decided to relieve my mom in the kitchen and take over. To start with, i got a fresh pack of "Top Raman Smoodles" singing along - "Don't be a noodle... be a smoooooodle..." I put the noodles in the boiling water and after few minutes i could see that the noodles came to life and slowly started getting out of the vessel moving peristaltically. The idiosyncrasies closely resembled to that of an earthworm. I heard(or my 6th sense.. not sure) one of them say, "the lady has overboiled us making us the prisoners for the rest of the life... Lets go back to where we belong and get her too..." As soon as that was told, the last of them coiled around my wrist and i was pulled along... My mind rummaged to find out what was happening but in vain.
At the far corner of my house, all of them aligned and a bright light flashed after which, i saw they all were glued one after the other like the bogies of a train , me being the last bogie and the engine was at work. The one in the beginning, started drilling the ground and entered into it little by little. Soon followed the rest and i was too big to get in. Miraculously, that narrow hole widened to fit me properly and i was pulled into the dark.
After an hour of darkness, i landed on something that felt like a swamp and i could smell water. My wrist was untangled and those imps were not to be seen anywhere. I started walking haphazardly and reached a point where i found something resembling our traffic signal light along with LCDs glowing, and it read - "Do or die. Go left in any case" (There was also a pic of the skeleton without a skull beside the LCD.) Following instructions i took a left and moved ahead a few yards and saw something nothing less than "magnificient". It was a vast ocean in front of my eyes .. a colorful one i would say, for, the waves of the ocean when lapping against the shore produced catchy jubiliant colors.
In the middle of the ocean rose a gigantic creature and its roar shook everything around as far as my eye sight could reach... Now my 7th sense came into action and promted me that i will be attacked shortly and to take precautionary measures. It was true.. The giant was heading towards me. For every single step of his/hers/it, i moved back ten steps. This happened for quite some time until i was no longer able move backward. There was a transparent wall-like obstacle blocking me. I turned towards it and started banging it with all the energy i could spare. For a moment, everything became grave-silent. The monster was on the shore already but did not move.
In front of me appeared a huge lap-top like electronic device which had a Linux-like OS. It was my 8th sense now pricking me - "Why don't you write a script that automatically kills the monster???" It sounded really strange but since i had no time to spare, i started working on it. The first time i ran it, it said "please insert prickly needles in the jack available on right". The needles were the "thorns" of a weird plant that grew in that region. I did as instructed, and tried running the script. By then, the monster was becoming active and roared again and started advancing towards me. The second roar blew up the device and the needles were scattered everywhere and i repeated my previous action of moving backward. Now the monster was really close and i had a proper glimpse of it/him/her.
It looked like our modern day "Robot" with green red blue LEDs all over. I could even find buttons here and there that i presume were functional buttons. Everything would have looked normal except that it looked beheaded. I closed my eyes and again started to bang the invisible wall behind me. The roar softened and now my common sense told me to do something. And i did that and that was the end of the monster.
All those little imps (noodles) came back and thanked me for my unmatched bravery of killing a dreadful monster and they showed me way back to my home and to the kitchen and they promptly entered the vessel in which they were supposed to be cooked. I told them i wouldn't like to harm them and they started laughing meticulously. When asked why they laughed they said, "get another pack of noodles and you will know why. For now, you better do as told. Cook and eat us". All this adventure was took place in the matter of 2-3 seconds coz according to Sigmund Freud, the human dreams can last, by and large, for at most 3 seconds. :)
I've been dreaming a lot these days (even otherwise i dream a lot) and most of them are such weird ones. Many of those dreams don't stay in my memory often but this was something which i could clearly recollect. Wondering what makes me dream about such things. It fascinates me a so much that i have had regrets at times as to why i hadn't digged into the area of human psychology when i had a chance instead of chosing engineering. The basis of the above dream could be,
- The nature of work i am involved in (writing automated scripts)
- The day to day routine (use of lappy etc)
- The sea - i have no explanation for it, but most of my dreams involve the "sea"
- And the noodles - Do i like it too much o do i dislike it?? It could even be due the influence of my M.Tech classmate's talk on "Life is a noodle" ;) :P :D
- As far as the "sea below the earth is concernedi guess i remembered the story in the book - "Journey to the center of the earth" by Jules Verne which i had read way back in 4th or 5th class. :P
Finally, coming to what my common sense had told me, its just hilarious. I was told to use one of the needles and prick it into the giant's body which appeared like the networking Switch's reset button which i did and it worked!!!!!!!! The jinx truly had played a wonderful role :P :D ;)
Heart leaps to dream more,
Thoughts see only centaurs
Mind wishes to stay astray
Wishing such dreams appear no more
